India’s star batter Virat Kohli scored his 29th Test ton in the IND vs WI 2nd Test at Port of Spain. The former Indian skipper reached the three-figure mark on his 500th international match. Kohli resumed his innings on 87 on Day 2 and completed his 76th ton with a boundary. Wishes pour in for the star batter from all around the world but it was Anushka Sharma ’s reaction that won hearts.
The actress shared a story on Instagram and congratulated her hubby on reaching another milestone. His last Test hundred outside Asia came in December 2018 when India was on tour in Australia.
While Kohli was looking good for a big hundred, his innings came to an abrupt end when he was dismissed for 121 after a run-out with India at 341-5. This is only the third time in his Test career that Kohli has been run out. Team India has crossed the 400-run mark in the ongoing IND vs WI 2nd Test.
Jaydev Unadkat and Ravichandran Ashwin are at the crease with India 7 down. Virat Kohli was run out on 121 before Ravindra Jadeja fell for 61. Ishan Kishan and Ashwin stitched a crucial partnership before Kishan departed on 25. India had resumed at the score of 288/4 on Friday. Earlier, West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and opted to bowl first on Thursday.
