On Monday, the Ujjain police monitored Mr. Mahakaleshwar’s ride with a drone. Special vigilance was taken after the hot weather that first involved spitting on the devotees and then showing off the ride. 1200 policemen were deployed for security. Apart from this, a company of Rapid Action Force was also raised. During the second ride of Baba Mahakal in the month of Shravan, the issue of spitting on devotees attracted a lot of attention. After the video was widely circulated on the internet media, the police registered a case against a youth and two minors.
Police stationed everywhere
The police also demolished the youth’s house at Tank Chowk. After this on Saturday, during the dharna demonstration in the police control room in the matter of molestation, a youth made a comment about taking out the ride and showing it. The people of the Hindu organization gathered about this. Police reported the suspect and arrested him.
On Saturday, some people created an uproar over the comment on the internet media. IG Santosh Kumar Singh and SP Sachin Sharma were present at Chhatri Chowk till late night. The police registered a case against the accused youth and arrested him in the night itself.
Drone cameras monitored the roof
The police kept special vigilance regarding the safety of the Mahakal ride. Policemen were deployed on rooftops along with barricading in all lanes. Also, police drone cameras were also installed on the entire ride route. In addition to 1200 policemen, a company of the RAF was deployed in the ride. Apart from this, a reserve force was also kept. Officials say that full preparations have been made to deal with any untoward situation.
