The 13th edition of the ICC ODI World Cup will be held in India from October 5. 10 best cricket teams of the world will participate in this mega tournament. No team has announced their 15-man squad yet. However, Australia announced the 18-member preliminary squad on Monday. The Indian team is currently playing a 5-match T20I series with the hosts in the Windies, while their other team will play a two-legged series against the hosts in Ireland from August 18. BCCI will keep an eye on the players who perform well in this tournament.

The ICC ODI has said when all the teams have to announce their 15-man squads. All the teams have to announce their final 15 for the World Cup by September 28, the International Cricket Council said on its official website today i.e. June 7. In such a situation, the teams participating in the World Cup now have 52 days left. It is not that once a team is announced it cannot be changed.
In this case the teams can change the team.
Teams will have the right to change teams during the tournament as well. However, for this, the teams will have to seek approval from the ICC ODI Technical Committee. If a player becomes injured or ill during the tournament, teams reserve the right to substitute another player.
45 matches will be played in 46 days
This tournament will last for 46 days. The tournament will begin with a match between defending champions England and runners-up New Zealand. Both the teams will face each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Team India will begin their campaign on October 8 against 5-time champions Australia. A total of 45 matches will be played in the tournament. It will be organized in round robin format.
