Mahakal coming out in elephant ride
An elephant is also included in the procession from the court of the world-famous Baba Mahakal to Sawan on Monday. Baba’s mind is in the form of Mahesh. A cruelty complaint has been filed against this elephant.
Whenever Baba Mahakal’s city Ujjain comes out in the form of Bholenath Chandramouleswar to give darshan to his devotees. Then, in the form of Mahesh, his mind is also fixed on the elephant. Not from today but for years this form of Baba is taken out on an elephant. This elephant is the pride of the ride and everyone. Be it children or old, eagerly waits to see it at the end of the ride.
But now Priyanshu Jain, secretary of the People for Animals organization. Has filed a cruelty complaint against this elephant, which was taken out in the ride of Baba Mahakal. Santos has objected to the complaint and reprimanded the PETA secretary. Advising him to focus on stopping the ongoing killings in the city.
Filed a complaint
Priyanshu Jain of People for Animals has written to the Principal Secretary of the Animal Welfare Board, complaining of cruelty to elephants in the Mahakal ride. He has also complained to Ujjain Collector and SP regarding this. In which he has said that a nail on the curb is used to control the riding elephant. Along with this, he has also talked about elephants becoming uncontrollable and harming people in the midst of such a large crowd.
The saints protested
As soon as the news of this complaint of elephant cruelty by the Under-Secretary reached the public, everyone started protesting against it. Saints say that Priyanshu Jain has the same sensitivity towards living beings. So instead of paying attention to the elephant riding Mahakala. They should be concerned about the lives of the animals being slaughtered in the slaughterhouse. The Saints have made it clear that Baba Mahakal’s ride is being taken out as per the age-old tradition and no compromise will be accepted by the devotees.
