X is the Everything App?

The billionaire speculated that the functionality might be available in May. Mr. Musk responded to a user’s proposal that Twitter incorporate dating services by saying, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.” This looks to be another step toward the platform becoming the “everything app,” as Elon Musk has claimed.

According to a July article in TechCrunch, Twitter completed its first acquisition since Mr Musk purchased the platform in May, a job-matching internet start-up called Laskie. The purchase is believed to have aided the firm in developing and launching the new functionality. WorkWeek, a US-based media firm, has been utilizing the function for a month. Its CEO, Adam Ryan, went to the site to announce the new feature. Poked fun at Mark Zuckerberg’s recently established Twitter competitor Threads.

“While there is a lot of buzz surrounding Zuck’s copying and pasting of another app, Elon’s Twitter is releasing products that make a lot of sense.” We just received permission to list positions on our corporate page. “This is a no-brainer considering we’ve hired 20+ people from Twitter,” he remarked in a month-old tweet. However, he also stated at the time that there was no additional charge for putting positions on the company’s page. That it was “part of the package of a paid account.”
