Janhvi Kapoor often grabs the headlines for her link-up rumors. At a recent show, the actress opened up about her ‘first boyfriend’ with whom she was in a serious relationship but her parents Boney Kapoor and Sridevi didn’t approve and it had to end. Janhvi also revealed that she used to meet him hiding and used to lie to them about him. She also said that parent’s approval is important.
In the latest episode of Swipe Ride, opening about her first relationship, Janhvi said, “My first ever serious boyfriend was that same ‘chup-chup ke mileage (meet in hiding) ‘jhooth bol ke’ (we will lie about each other) all of that and but unfortunately that relationship ended because I had to lie so much and mom and dad were like ‘No you will never have a boyfriend’… very conservative. And that’s when I realized having your parents’ approval and having transparency with them makes everything so easy. It makes you feel so much more confident about your decisions.”
The ‘Roohi’ actress is rumored to be dating Shikhar Pahariya. They are often spotted together at various events. Last month, both were spotted leaving in the same car for Arjun Kapoor’s house. On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in ‘Bawaal’ opposite Varun Dhawan. She will be next seen in ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ with Rajkummar Rao.
Furthermore, she also admitted that Bollywood has influenced her expectations of love a lot. “There’s a lot of fun in staring out of the window, watching the raindrops fall.”
