Saba Qamar made her Bollywood debut with the late actor Irrfan Khan in Hindi Medium. In 2015 in an interview, Qamar passed some comments about Bollywood actors, and her reasoning shocked everyone. She was shown Hrithik Roshan’s picture and was asked if she would marry him. Qamar refused and asked ‘Who will marry a father of two kids’. Later, she was shown Emraan Hashmi’s picture and was asked if she’d do a film with him and she quipped, that she does not want oral cancer.
Later, the host showed Saba Ritesh Deshmukh’s picture to which Qamar said that she is an A-list actress in Pakistan and she only works with A-lister actors. A picture of Salman Khan followed next and she said that he does not follow the choreographer and does his own style of dance, calling him a ‘chinchona’.
In a conversation with Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif, Mahira Khan said that they should never take inspiration from Indians as they are not Bollywood. This was in the year 2011.
