A man in Bhopal was assaulted and urinated upon by a group of thugs who tried to stop them from occupying government land. Five people were arrested in connection with the incident.
At least five people were arrested on charges of assaulting and urinating on a watchman in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal. The incident happened on September 10, when the victim, Ramswaroop Ahirwar, attempted to stop thugs from illegally occupying government land in a village in Bhopal. In a statement to the police, the victim said the goons, along with the village head’s husband, Sheru Meena, attacked him.
Sheru Meena is believed to be an aide of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Rameshwar Sharma. Ahirwar alleged the goons forced him into their car and took him to a canal where they continued to beat him and urinated on him.
They then took Ahirwar to Sheru Meena’s house, locked him in a room, and assaulted him until he lost consciousness. Superintendent of Police (SP) Pramod Kumar Sinha said a case was registered against seven people, while five of them were arrested, based on the complaint of the victim
Acting on the verbal order, I reached the spot and found that one Mastan Meena, a resident of the same village, was putting up wire fencing along with laborers. When I stopped them from doing so, they called the accused Sheru Meena. He reached the spot with three others in his car and started abusing me,” the victim said in the FIR.
