India Calls for Discussion on Disagreements Over Khalistani Rebel’s Killing with Canada.

However, the bigger problem of the Canadian government’s “permissiveness” to terrorism, extremism, and violence must raised and addressed. According to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, India and Canada should discuss their disagreements on the killing of a Khalistani rebel.
He stated that India prepared to investigate the evidence on Canada’s claims of the “potential” involvement of Indian operatives in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on June 18 in British Columbia during a meeting with Indian journalists here on Friday.

S Jaishankar on Khalistani

“The problem is that the Canadians have leveled certain accusations. We have made it clear to them that this is not Indian government policy, but if they are willing to provide details and other pertinent information, we would be willing to consider it. So that’s the situation as it is, according to Mr. Jaishankar.

However, he said, “We do not want to see an incident treated in isolation because that does not paint the right picture there.”

“Let’s avoid making what is occurring in Canada normal. Do you think that if what is occurring in Canada had occurred somewhere else, the world would have responded in the same way? He queried. According to S Jaishankar, India has had a persistent issue with Canada and its administration for some time, and the root of the issue is Canada’s “permissiveness” toward terrorism, extremism, and violence.

“This permissiveness also reflected in the fact that some significant extradition demands have gone unanswered on their end, as well as in the fact that there are people and organizations in India who have openly admitted to engaging in violent and unlawful activity.
