Sunday saw the first meeting of Israel’s extended emergency cabinet, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said conveyed a message to both domestic and foreign audiences as the nation prepared to “demolish” Hamas in Gaza.

According to a video published by Netanyahu’s office, the conference, held at the Tel Aviv military headquarters, started with ministers standing for a minute of silence in honor of the 1,300 Israelis murdered in Hamas’ shocking October 7 onslaught.

Benny Gantz, a former opposition MP who joined the cabinet last week along with many other party members, welcomed by Netanyahu, who also noted that all ministers were “working around the clock, with a united front.”

“Hamas believed we would destroyed. According to Netanyahu, “it is we who will destroy Hamas,” and the demonstration of solidarity “sends a clear message to the country, the enemy, and the world.”
According to Netanyahu, the Israeli military is aware that the entire nation is behind them and that the time is critical.

Since the shocking attack by Hamas terrorists that claimed the lives of more than 1,300 Israelis eight days ago, Israel has retaliated with a catastrophic air campaign that has killed more than 2,300 people in Gaza.
A person killed by cross-border fire earlier today, prompting the Israeli army to request the immediate evacuation of people living close to the border with Lebanon.
“In accordance with the situational assessment and the recent shooting incident in northern Israel, the area up to four kilometers (2.5 miles) from the northern border with Lebanon has closed,” the army stated in a statement.
