Richard Kettleborough had a hand in Kohli century
India Vs Bangladesh Virat Kohli’s century innings has put a 24 carat smile on the faces of his millions of fans. The umpire did not declare the ball a wide ball
In fact when Virat came on strike on the first ball of the 41st over, Nasum Ahmed was bowl. At this point India’s score was equal to Bangladesh’s and only one run was need to win. When Nasum bowled the first ball, Irdan or Gerridan flicked it wide outside the leg stump. But the entire crowd cheered when the umpire, Richard Kettleborough, declared a fair ball instead of giving it wide. Kohli then completed his 48th century by hitting a long six on the very second ball. Certainly, if umpire Kettleborough had declared that ball wide, not only would Kohli’s century have been incomplete, but millions of Indian fans would have been heartbroken.
