Following US President Joe Biden’s statement of support for Israel on Wednesday, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated on Thursday that the UK firmly supports Israel’s right to self-defense in accordance with international law and to pursue Hamas to reclaim hostages, stop further incursions, and bolster Israel’s security over the long term. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Rishi Sunak for his “clear, unwavering support” ever since the start of the conflict at the joint news conference.

Netanyahu said that Hamas was the new ISIS and that the world was now fighting against the “Nazis,” not just Israel. “Hamas are the new Nazis, they are the new ISIS, and we must work together to combat them, just as the entire world, the civilized world, worked together to combat the Nazis. This is not just our war; it is the struggle of all civilized nations, according to Netanyahu.
