Nawaz Sharif, the ousted prime minister and declared criminal who returned to Pakistan today after a four-year self-imposed exile, declared he had “no wish for revenge” and simply desired the welfare of the populace.

During his homecoming speech at Lahore’s Minar-i-Pakistan, he made these words. The PML-N leader began his statement by stating: “I am meeting you now after a period of time, but my love relationship with you remains the same.

“This connection is the same as before. I am happy with the love I see in your eyes. According to Nawaz, he never abandoned a follower and never shied away from making a sacrifice. He remembered how he and the leaders of his party were the targets of false accusations. “However, nobody gave up the PML-N flag.”

“Explain to me who it is that keeps Nawaz Sharif from his country. It was us who created Pakistan. We gave Pakistan nuclear capability. We put a stop to load shedding,” he stated, emphasizing how he generated and gave the public affordable power. Nawaz reacted to the applause from the crowd by saying, “I know you want to hear that I love you too.” “Today, believe me, I have forgotten all my sorrow and suffering after seeing your love. I don’t even want to think about it. However, some wounds never fully recover.

Nawaz described how he had lost his mother and wife “to politics” in a voice that quivered. He remembered how, despite numerous pleas in jail, he was unable to pay his ultimate respects to his mother, father, or wife. “I kept considering how hard it was for him to just schedule a phone conversation. When his number two guy arrived after 2.5 hours, he informed me that his wife had gone away, the former prime minister stated, adding that he had prevented them from notifying Maryam.
