Ganapathy box office collection: Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s post-apocalyptic dystopian action film showed no improvement despite the Dussehra holiday on Tuesday. The futuristic action film collected ₹1.5 crore on Tuesday as per early estimates shared by Sacnilk.com. It stands at ₹9.8 crore after five days of its release.
According to the report, Ganapath registered 12.28 percent Hindi occupancy on Tuesday. The film has not observed any growth since its opening day when it collected ₹2.5 crore. It fell to ₹2.5 crore during the weekend and then to ₹1.3 crore on Monday.
Ganapathy has been written and directed by Vikas Bahl of Queen fame and is reported to have been made on a budget of ₹200 crore. Amitabh Bachchan also has a crucial role in the film. The film also stars Elli AvrRam, Gauahar Khan, Rahman, Jameel Khan, Girish Kulkarni, Shruthy Menon, Ziad Bakri, Jess Liaudin and Brahim Chab
The film is set in a dystopian 2070 A.D. It revolves around Tiger’s Guddu who transforms into Ganapath and becomes a saviour who sets out on a mission to safeguard his people from a notorious syndicate. Like Tiger, Kriti too has many action sequences in the film.
On Dussehra, a song titled Lafda Kar Le starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon was unveiled from the film. The song has been sung by him along with Nikhita Gandhi. Shot against the backdrop of Ladakh, Lafda Kar Le captures the picturesque landscapes of the region.
