MP News: Avinash Rawat’s report from Indore. It is not only necessary to check the purity of food items or gold and silver, but the oxygen supplied to the patients admitted to hospitals is also necessary to be pure. Proper provisions have also been made for this in the Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940. Despite all this, oxygen is being supplied to hospitals across the state including Indore without testing.
MP News Report: Here the doctors operated on him. Oxygen was administered when needed. He recovered after the operation but started forgetting many things. When the family members took him to the hospital in Mumbai, the doctors expressed apprehension that this could happen due to the lack of oxygen purity during the previous treatment. He now has to take medicines regularly to remember things.
Similarly, Mangesh Pathak, resident of Bihariya, got his father’s brain hemorrhage operation done in a private hospital of the city.He was given oxygen during the operation. After a few days he also started forgetting things. At the age of seven he also started having eye problems. Doctors told that this kind of problem is happening due to lack of oxygen.
Why is the investigation not being done?
On the basis of their report, action is taken against the concerned. This is the biggest problem in taking oxygen samples.
Drug inspectors don’t know how to take samples
The surprising thing is that many drug inspectors working in Indore do not even know how to take oxygen samples and where to send them for testing. Let us tell you that the state government has authorized about 25 agencies across the state to supply oxygen to hospitals. Hospitals have to get oxygen from these agencies.
