Madrasa a big news of relief has come from the Supreme Court for lakhs of students studying in madrasas of Uttar Pradesh. The Supreme Court overturned the decision of the Allahabad High Court, in which the Madrasa Act was declared unconstitutional. The Supreme Court declared the Madrasa Act constitutional and gave the verdict that this law does not violate the principle of secularism.
UP Madrasa Education Act, this law was made in 2004. Its purpose was to organize madrasa education. In this, madrasa education has been defined as education of Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Islamic studies, Tibb (traditional medicine), philosophy and other subjects. There are about 25 thousand madrasas in Uttar Pradesh.
The age should be 14 years on 31 March 2020. Let us tell you that till now there was no time limit for the degree of madrasa education. There was no time limit to complete the course of Munshi-Maulavi, two years of Alim, three years of Kamil and two years of Fazil degree of madrasa education. But the board has now fixed the time limit to complete all the courses.
According to the Madrasa Education Council, the minimum age limit for candidates appearing in the examination of all the boards except the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council has been fixed. According to the new rules, the minimum age of the candidate appearing for the Munshi-Maulavi examination will be 14 years on 31st March of the year in which the result is declared. Along with this, a time limit has also been fixed for completing a degree in Madrasa education.
According to the decision of the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council Board, the two-year course of Munshi-Maulavi and Alim will have to be completed in a maximum of 4 years, the three-year course of Kamil will have to be completed in a maximum of 6 years and the two-year course of Fazil will now have to be completed in a maximum of 4 years.
