Salman Khan had just started his career in 1989 when Sooraj Barjatya planned the film Maine Pyar Kiya. But Salman, who was already famous as Salim Khan’s son, faced many challenges when he first entered the film industry. Sooraj Barjatya, who was a new filmmaker, took a lot of time to convince Salman to cast him. Interestingly, initially, he was not sure about Salman’s image and could not see him as a hero.
After talking to the media, it was found out that Suraj said that when he was questioned about Salman Khan, it must be that Salim Shah’s son wants to work with us. He started films with Suraj’s movie Main Pyar Kiya. He said that Salman also came to refuse the proposal because he did not want to play the role of a saint.
Suraj told that Salman Khan’s screen test did not happen as he had thought. His dance moves were not that good and his acting was not as interesting as it should have been for the film. But when Salman picked up the guitar and shook his head a little, Suraj felt that his face, his romance and his personality were perfect for the hero. ‘Salman’s honesty is his biggest strength.’
Salman last worked in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015. His film Sikandar is awaiting release on March 30. Rashmika Mandanna is also in this film.
