Mumbai High Court imposed a stay on the demolition of the houses of 2 accused, imposed a stay on the administration

The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court has strongly reprimanded the local administration and called its attitude arbitrary and oppressive. This comment of the Nagpur Bench has come after the administration’s action of demolishing the houses of the accused of Nagpur violence.

The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court has taken the administrative action of demolishing the houses of two accused in the Nagpur violence case. The court also reprimanded the administration for its attitude, calling it arbitrary and oppressive. the local administration started demolishing the houses of the accused, which was challenged in court. The next hearing of this case is likely to take place soon.

Faheem Khan’s two-story house had already been demolished before the court order came. At the same time, after the court order, the action of demolishing the illegal part of Yusuf Sheikh’s house was stopped. Faheem Khan and Yusuf Sheikh had filed a petition in the High Court against the demolition of their houses. The bench of Justice Nitin Sambre and Vrushali Joshi heard the matter. The court asked how the houses were demolished without any hearing.

Faheem Khan’s lawyer Ashwin Ingole said that the court has sought a reply from the government and the municipal corporation and the next hearing will be held on April 15. If the demolition is found to be illegal, then the administration will have to compensate for the loss.
