Marking the return of the iconic Gadar franchise, on July 26, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel unveiled the trailer of the second installment of the patriotic-romantic drama with much fanfare in Mumbai. Gadar 2, which is also expected to star Utkarsh Sharma and mark the debut of Simrat Kaur Randhawa, received a warm welcome from fans.
Many of them attended the launch, despite the heavy rainfall and flood alert in Mumbai, which seems to have made Sunny quite emotional. Sunny Deol took to the stage to give a warm welcome to all the fans and media personnel as he also wanted to express gratitude towards them for turning up at the event, despite the heavy monsoons in the city.
When he took the mic to give a speech, the actor got emotional, as he heard the fans cheering for him and the film. Ameesha Patel, who came onto the stage to join him, saw the actor crying and in a sweet gesture, wiped those tears. The said video clip of the beautiful off-screen chemistry of Tara Singh and Sakeena aka Sunny and Ameesha has been going viral on the internet.
Soon after, Sunny Deol expressed his happiness over the turnout saying, “I am very thankful to all of you for attending the trailer launch, despite the heavy monsoons in the city. I was afraid that we might have to postpone or reschedule the trailer launch because of the rains. But I cannot appreciate enough all the people and journalists who came in from different parts of the country to attend this event. Thank you so much for coming.
