Heavy rains continue in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. Due to incessant rain, rivers and canals are overflowing in all the blocks of the district. Among these circumstances, a strange incident has also come to light. People are calling it a miracle. In fact, the natural calamity is at its peak in Rohani village which falls under Jabera Assembly. There is sunshine in the Guraiya river that originates from here. There is a temple of Lord Hanuman on its banks. On August 4, the river’s velocity was such that it swept away the entire temple but could not even move the idol of Bajrangbali. People’s faith increased after this incident.

Due to continuous heavy rains, the water level of Guraiya river is increasing. A flood-like situation has arisen in the river. The village of Rohni was submerged in water. Notably, the Meteorological Department has issued red, yellow and orange alerts for heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh.

Red alert has been issued for heavy rain in Damoh, Niwari, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Vidisha, Raisen districts. Orange alert has been issued for very heavy rain in Sihore, Narmadapuram, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh districts. Yellow alert has been issued for moderate to heavy rains in Bhopal, Betul, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Dewas, Shajapur, Gwalior.

Narmada water level has increased in Narmadapuram

On the other hand, Narmada water released from Bargi Dam has reached Narmadapuram. Here the water level of Narmada has reached 957 feet. The administration has declared an alert in the low-lying areas. Here, the meteorological department says that there will be more heavy rain in Narmadapuram. The administration has beefed up security at Sethani Ghat and other ghats. The Collector has appealed people not to go to low-lying areas.

Bad situation in Narsinghpur

Jhansi Ghat has been submerged due to rise in water level of Narmada in Narsinghpur district. The road to Jabalpur through Gotegaon of the district has been cut. Due to heavy rains, the Jikauli Ghat was also submerged. Due to which the road connection of the district to Raisen has been broken. Lord Brahma’s Tapasthal Barman’s Sand and Stair Ghats are completely submerged. Tendukheda has been cut off from Gadarwara due to the sinking of the Narmada Bridge at Kakra Ghat. People were seen taking selfies, reels and videos somewhere at Burman Satdhara ghat. The administration has sounded an alert in the lower settlements.
