Gift to 17000 pensioners of urban bodies, 5% increase in dearness relief, pension will increase in August itself

The increase in dearness relief will be paid to the pensioners from July 1, 2023. The month of August itself, before Rakshabandhan. The balance of one month’s increased dearness relief amount will also be paid to the pensioners.

Shivraj government has also gifted 17000 pensioner of urban institutions before the assembly elections. The government has decided to increase the dearness relief (DR) given to them by 5 percent. With this increase the dearness relief of pensioners will be 38%. This will benefit them up to 4 thousand rupees per month.

5 percent increase in DR of pensioners of urban bodies

Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has said that after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan increased. The dearness relief for the state government pensioners by 5 percent, the Urban Development and Housing Department is also getting pensions to the urbanites as per the seventh pay scale. Dearness relief for 17 thousand pensioners of the state has been increased by 5 percent. With this, the pensioners will benefit from 400 to 4 thousand rupees per month.

Arrears will be recovered before Raksha Bandhan

The increase in dearness relief will be paid to the pensioner from July 1, 2023. The month of August itself, before Rakshabandhan, the balance of one month’s increased dearness relief amount will also be paid to the pensioners. Pensioners of urban institutions were getting 33 per cent dearness relief from October 1, 2022. With an increase of 5 per cent, taking the total dearness relief to 38 per cent.

Pensioners drawing sixth pay scale have also benefited

Minister Bhupendra Singh said that dearness relief has also been increased by 11 per cent for the pensioner of urban institutions who were getting pension as per sixth pay scale. Due to this, their inflation relief amount has also increased from 201 percent to 212 percent. Due to this increase in dearness relief, the pension fund will incur an additional financial burden of Rs 1.25 crore per month on the government.
