INDIA alliance boycotted 14 journalists-anchors

So far we have see lists of candidates being release by political parties, but this may be the first time that a coalition has released a list of journalists. While releasing the list of 14 journalists, INDIA, a coalition of opposition parties, has said that in a meeting, the ‘India Media Committee’ has decided not to send its representatives to the show of these journalists/anchors.

India (I.N.D.I.A.) Alliance has released the names of 14 journalists and announced their boycott. First let us know who these 14 journalists are whose shows have been denied permission by the coalition parties. Not only denied but also announced his name by tweeting.

The list includes journalists

  • Aditi Tyagi
  • Aman Chopra
  • Amish Devgan
  • Anand Narasimhan
  • Arnab Goswami
  • Ashok Srivastava
  • Chitra Tripathi
  • Gaurav Sawant
  • Navika Kumar
  • Prachi Parashar
  • Rubika Liaquat
  • Shiva Arur
  • Sudhir Chaudhary
  • Sushant Sinha

The opposition has been targeting for a long time

In fact, this is not the first time that the Congress and other opposition forces have accuse the media and journalists of being biase. The issue has been coming up time and time again for a long time now and the opposition has been alleging that many media organizations and journalists are working under the pressure of the BJP and the Prime Minister. Along with this, question marks have also bee raised on ‘impartial journalism’ and ‘freedom of expression’. The opposition also used sarcastic expressions like ‘good media’ which later became very popular. He alleges that the voice of opposition is being suppresse in this way.

Now this sequence is formalized and expressed in catalog form. The 14 names involved have been accused of speaking in favor of the government from time to time. The names included in the list released by the India Alliance have often been embroiled in controversies. Now the alliance has clearly said that representatives, leaders, spokespersons etc. of their parties will not go to these journalists’ shows. This is perhaps the first time that the opposition has made a list of journalists who support the government and announced their boycott. However, it is not yet known whether these journalists will be invited to the press conference and other events organized by the Mahagathbandhan.

Sudhir Chaudhary gave this answer

For action there had to be a reaction. How can the journalists remain silent when the names of the journalists are finally out? Aditi Tyagi, who is number one in the list, retweeted this list and wrote that ‘Apna is number one in the list of people asking questions for the country, Tyagi is not afraid! Jai Hind’. Other journalists including Amish Devgan are also reacting strongly to this. While tweeting the list, famous journalist Sudhir Chaudhary wrote that ‘I.N.D.I.A Alliance has released the list of journalists who refused to be ‘Charan Chumbak’.

Now they will be boycotte. Let us tell you that Congress spokesperson Supriya. On behalf of journalists at the press conference on Tuesday, Sreeneth said that he will respect journalists on the day they do true journalism and ask questions about the current situation and issues. But journalists who follow ‘government instructions’, spread propaganda and do ‘kiss-kiss’ work, will be called ‘foot magnets.

Now Sudhir Chaudhary has twisted the words of the Congress spokesperson and attacked him and said that only journalists who refused to become step magnets of the India Alliance have been boycotted. Anyway. if the case is out then the talk will go a long way. It remains to be see what the outcome of this tension between India and journalists will be as the Lok Sabha elections are next year and the rift between political parties and journalists during that time could lead to many interesting scenes.
