The North Korean leader is said to be inspired by the 1977 James Bond film ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. The massive fish tank was reportedly created inside Kim’s Ryongsong Residence. The victim’s limbs and body were allegedly slashed open with knives before he was put into the tank.

According to reports, it was unclear if the general was killed by the fish, died of his wounds, or drowned. The film depicted the villain Karl Stromberg assassinating his opponents by putting them into a shark-infested aquarium.

Kim’s aquarium is thought to include several hundred piranhas ‘imported from Brazil.’ The flesh-eating fish have razor-sharp teeth that can rip flesh from a body in minutes.
