Madhya Pradesh assembly polls: Amit Shah on three-day visit to state

Union Home Minister Amit Shah Friday said the BJP would pick a leader from the Backward Classes for the chief minister’s post in Telangana if the party comes to power in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its second list of 21 candidates today for the upcoming November 25 Rajasthan Assembly polls. The party released its first list of 23 candidates on October 26. “Second list of candidates for Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023 is here. All the best to all the candidates. #EkMaukaKejriwalKo,”, the party said in a post on X.

The party has fielded Manish Sharma from Bikaner West, while Rohit Joshi, ex-IRS officer R P Meena, and Hardan Singh Gujjar are in the fray from Jodhpur, Chhabra, and Behror, respectively.

Jhabar Singh Khicchar, Hemant Kumar Kumawat, Dr Sanju Bala, Dilip Kumar Meena, Archit Gupta, Puran Mal Khatik, Heena Firoj Baig, Rohitash Chaturvedi are contesting from Sikar, Chomu, Ratangarh, Pipalda, Civil Lines, Shahpura, Karauli and Nadbai, respectively.

At 3.40 pm, Amit Shah will address a public meeting at Junnardeo in Chhindwara district. He will then address a meeting of the BJP’s Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions, it said.

Assembly polls will be held on 17 November in MP, while the counting of votes will take place on 3 December.

On Saturday, Shah will pay tributes to tribal martyrs King Shankar Shah and his son Raghunath Shah near Rani Durgawati Hospital in Jabalpur at 12.50 p.m. He will then address a meeting at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jabalpur divisional office at 1.30…

According to the Home Minister’s schedule, on the first day of the tour, he will attend a meeting in Jabalpur with leaders from the region.
