Israeli Military Reports Success in Operations Against Hamas in Gaza

In their most recent report on their battle against the Palestinian organization, the Israeli military reported that during their ground operations in Gaza yesterday, they killed many Hamas operatives and damaged their subterranean tunnels.

The administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has increased ground operations in Gaza and rejected a truce in the conflict, which broke out on October 7 as a result of a terror attack by Hamas that left 1,400 people dead in Israel.

“Over the last day, during ground operations: Numerous Hamas terrorists have eliminated, the IAF struck terrorist targets and infrastructure, IDF combat forces struck approximately 300 targets, including anti-tank missiles posts, rocket launch posts, terrorist compounds inside underground tunnels,” the Israel Defense Forces wrote on X, which used to be Twitter.

According to reports, Israeli tanks observed yesterday moving toward the outskirts of Gaza City. Tanks moved into the Zaytun neighborhood in Gaza City’s southern outskirts, according to a witness, as reported by AFP. Netanyahu declared yesterday that a ceasefire would be impossible because it would mean giving up to Hamas. An ally, the United States, had also opposed a ceasefire. Netanyahu declared during a foreign briefing that “calls for a ceasefire are calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism… this will not happen” and that Israel would “fight until this battle won.”

On October 7, Hamas fired missiles into Israel, while its agents massacred and abducted residents in Israeli border communities. As aircraft assaults continue to demolish houses and reduce them to rubble, Israeli ground forces are currently engaged in combat with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
