Ayan Mukerji is known for films like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani, but it was with Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva with which he began to dream big, and no doubt he delivered. The film had a stellar star cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and a guest appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. Though the film was in the making for a very long time, when it was released the audiences lapped it up and also complained about a few things like dialogue. But the film has not turned a year old and the director Ayan Mukerji has penned a heartfelt note for the film and also shared a big update on its sequels.
Ayan Mukerji wrote, “Happy 1st Birthday, Brahmāstra! Thank you for all the Creativity, all the hard work, and for all the Lessons in Filmmaking, and in Life! P.S.: Will share some early artwork from the next stage of the Brahmāstra journey in a bit.
At the end of the video, it’s revealed that Brahmastra Part 2 and Part 3 are in progress. ‘Brahmastra Part 2 and Part 3, Development In Progress,’ it read.
Karan Johar who produced the film also wrote, “Today we mark and celebrate one year of this labor of love. Truly, one experience….one journey….one story that is told with the heart and soul.
