Bhopal AIIMS News: Behavioral, psychosocial, physical, and school-related problems may occur during adolescence. This specialized clinic will cater to the diverse needs of adolescent boys and girls.
“Kishore Clinic” inaugurated in AIIMS Bhopal
AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh inaugurated the Teenage Clinic. The adolescent clinic will be run jointly by various departments of AIIMS, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Community and Family Medicine (CFM). The clinic will provide its services on the second and fourth Thursday afternoons of every month.

Answers to all the questions that arise in the minds of teenagers
Prof. Dr. Rajesh Malik, Dean (Academics), Prof. Dr. Shashank Purwar, Medical Superintendent (Acting), Col. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Administration) and Prof. Dr. Vijender Singh, Dr. , Head, Department of Psychiatry, resident doctors and faculty members were also present. Adolescence is a stage when all kinds of thoughts come in the mind of teenagers and in such a situation it is very important to give proper direction to those thoughts.

Behavioral, psychosocial, physical, and school-related problems may occur during adolescence. This specialized clinic will cater to the diverse needs of adolescent boys and girls. Common problems taken care of in this clinic include emotional and psychological problems, problems related to growth and development, problems related to sensitive matters such as menstruation, adolescent contraception, vaccination and endocrinology problems. The clinic will cater specifically to gynecology and endocrinology issues, including body image disorders.
