BMW cheapest electric SUV launched in India
After a long wait, BMW has launched its cheapest electric SUV in India. Its name is BMW iX1. It is priced at Rs 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the fourth SUV to hit the Indian market. Earlier iX, i7 and i4 are available here. This will remind you of ICE X1. Because the looks of both are similar to a large extent. Its deliveries may begin in October. It will rival many luxury cars in the market. The list includes Volvo XC40 Recharge, C40 Recharge, BYD Atto 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Design and appearance
The SUV gets a kidney chrome grille, slim headlights and 18-inch M alloy wheels. The rear gets a horizontally stacked L-shape tail light setup and a chunky looking rear bumper. Its dashboard is also similar in appearance to the ICE version. The cabin gets a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system based on the Drive 8.5 operating system.

The BMW iX1 is equippe with a 66.4 kWh battery pack and twin electric motors. Its twin electric motors power all four wheels. Capable of generating 313 hp of power and 494 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The top speed is 180 kmph.
