Vicky Kaushal the acclaimed actor and recipient of the National Award, is currently enjoying a thriving phase in both his professional and personal life. With a promising lineup of projects in his kitty, he has solidified his position as one of Bollywood’s most sought-after talents, impressing audiences with his powerful performances.
On the personal front, Vicky Kaushal is happily married to the renowned star, Katrina Kaif. In a recent interview with Film Companion, the talented actor candidly discussed his journey in the film industry, particularly his struggling days and the pivotal role played by his parents, Sham Kaushal and Veena Kaushal, in grounding him and his younger brother, actor Sunny Kaushal.
Growing up in a middle-class family, Vicky reminisced about his parents instilling a valuable lesson in distinguishing between necessity and luxury. They emphasized that while necessities would be provided, luxury had to be earned. Even when he was an assistant director, he was not allowed to use the family car for personal reasons. Vicky had to rely on public transport for auditions and work-related commitments.
Interestingly, Vicky Kaushal also shared how his mother, Veena Kaushal, played a crucial role in keeping him grounded, despite his newfound popularity. She never took his fame too seriously and didn’t hesitate to playfully troll him if she felt he was getting carried away. This humility instilled by his parents has remained a guiding force throughout his journey.
Meghna Gulzar is scheduled to hit theaters in December of this year. Following that, Vicky will be seen in “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam,” a romantic comedy directed by Anand Tiwari, co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ami Virk, set to release in February 2024.
