In fact, the ration card holders of Andhra Pradesh will be given the benefit of additional food grains. For this an important announcement has been made by the Minister of Civil Supplies.

Fortified rice will be distributed from September

The Jaganmohan government of Andhra Pradesh has given a big gift to the ration card holders. State Civil Supplies Minister Vasant Nageswara Rao said that distribution of fortified rice will be done from September. The benefit of which will be given to the ration card holders. In this regard, it will be provided by PDS, MDS and ICDS in all districts.

According to the government, fortified rice contains iron, folic acid and B12 that prevent iron anemia. Along with this, the government says that fortified rice grains are mixed with normal rice in a ratio of 1:100 to prepare nutritious rice. In this matter, Chief Minister YS Jagan says that rice is being distributed to improve the health of the people of the state. It is being rolled out as a pilot project in Uttaradhra and Royal Seema districts.

The date for EKYC has been extended till August 31

Big news for the ration card holders of Himachal. E-kyc is required for ration card holders in Himachal Pradesh. Their ration cards will be closed for not doing E-Kyc. The date for doing E-kyc was kept till 15th August, which has been extended to 31st August. All the members enrolled in the card have to do their eKYC till this period.

The date for EKYC has been extended till August 31. It is being said that their Aadhaar number is being registered in the ration card to bring transparency in the work of ration distribution by the department. In such cases the customers have not done EKYC yet. They can complete the process by August 31 by visiting the nearest fair price shop. If eKYC is not completed, the ration card will be temporarily closed.

Benefits of extra grains

Landslides have occurred in Himachal Pradesh due to rains and floods. Due to which many roads have been closed. At the same time, the supply service of daily necessities in Himachal has also been disrupted due to this. Kalka-Shimla National Highway is closed for 5 days. At the same time, the condition of Chandigarh Manali highway is also bad. In such a situation, sugar is not being supplied in Himachal.

The Himachal Pradesh State Fertilizer and Civil Supplies Corporation has informed that the corporation is committed to provide a fixed quota of certain sugar to the ration card holders of the state. The Corporation had issued a supply order of 36000 quintals of sugar for the month of July 2023. Out of which 25000 quintals of sugar could not be procured due to flooding of all the godowns of the sugar mills due to heavy rains.

It has also been included in the supply order issued for the month of August in view of this situation. Accordingly, a supply order of 60,000 quintals of sugar was placed for the month of August. With the commencement of procurement of sugar in all the godowns of the state in a day or two, the remaining quantity of sugar for the month of July and the quantity of sugar for the month of August will be available to the ration card holders. .

Workers registered on the e-Labor portal will get the benefit of ration

According to the Supreme Court’s instructions, the workers registered on the e-labor portal will also be given the benefit of the Government of India’s scheme by creating ration cards under the National Food Security Act, 2013. This information was given to Narendra Kumar Dhima, District Controller Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Officer in Himachal. He said that such migrant workers, whose names are registered on the e-labor portal of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India, are working in Solan district. They were requested to get the ration card made by contacting the concerned Divisional Inspector Food Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Office posted at the block level of Solan district. All these workers will be given the benefit of ration.
