But there is another superstar with whom Sridevi’s pairing was much loved. The duo has given more than a dozen hits. So let’s talk about this pair today-
The actor who rocked the screen with Sridevi is none other than Bollywood’s ‘Jumping Jack’ Jeetendra. In the era of 80s, this pair was considered to be the guarantee of a film’s success. Every filmmaker wanted to bet on the pairing of Sridevi and Jeetendra. The superhit duo worked together in about 16 films from 1983 to 1988 and only 3 were flops.

13 films rocked the screen
Interestingly, this pairing happened by chance. Actually, the casting of the 1983 film ‘Himmatwala’ was going on and Jeetendra wanted to work with Rekha in the film. Due to time constraints, the actress jokingly suggested Sridevi’s name. And then what happened was ‘Jumping Jack’ jokingly accepted and cast Sridevi in the film.
With the tremendous success of ‘Himmatwala’, this pair also sealed a hit. Then, over the course of 5 years, the pair appeared in 16 films, out of which only 3 were not box-office successes. ‘Sarfarosh’ released in 1985, ‘Aag Aur Shola’ in 1986 and ‘Himmat Aur Mehta’ in 1987 were box-office flops.
As for Sridevi, she entered the world of acting at a very young age. The actress, who made her debut as a child artist, gave superhit films with almost every leading actor.
