In the first Super-4 match of Asia Cup-2023, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets. Bangladesh team won the toss and got all out for 193 runs in 38.4 overs at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. In response, Pakistan won the match by seven wickets. With the victory in this match, Pakistan has taken the first step towards making a place in the finals.
Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 64 runs and Shakib Al Hasan contributed 53 runs from Bangladesh. Naeem played an inning of 20 runs. Haris Rauf took four wickets and Naseem Shah took three wickets from Pakistan.

Pakistani opener Imam-ul-Haq played a half-century inning. He scored 78 runs in 84 balls at a strike rate of 92.86. Imam’s innings consists of 5 fours and 4 sixes. And Mohammad Rizwan had scored 63 runs. Taskin, Shoriful and Mehdi Hasan took one wicket each from Bangladesh.
Important thing is that the top scorer of the tournament Najmul Hossain is not playing in this match due to hamstring injury.
