Madhya Pradesh election 2023: There are different camps belonging to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state BJP chief VD Sharma, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, among others, and Modi is the only unifying force.

With just a month to go for the elections to the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly, the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying every bit to put up a united face and suppress any chance of rebellion. The state polls hold significance as they come just ahead of the General Elections 2024 and also because the saffron party lost the 2018 state elections.

The BJP has announced the candidates for 136 seats and is likely to announce the remaining names by October 17, Tuesday.

The opposition party has so far announced the names of 144 candidates for the polls to 230 seats of the Legislative Assembly.
