AUS vs NED: Australia recorded the biggest win of the World Cup, defeating the Netherlands by 309 runs.

AUS vs NED: Australia claimed the biggest win in Cricket World Cup history, and the second-largest in ODI cricket, by bowling out the Netherlands for 90 to take a crushing 309-run victory in Delhi.

After Glenn Maxwell (106) had smashed the fastest century in tournament history off just 40 balls, the Netherlands struggled against Australia’s pace bowlers, falling to 47-3 within the powerplay before wrist spinner Adam Zampa (4-8) finished with his third consecutive four-for in the tournament.

This is also the second biggest defeat in the history of ODI International, before this India defeated Sri Lanka by 317 runs in Thiruvananthapuram on 15 January 2023.

A Stormy Century of Glenn Maxwell and David Warner

AUS vs NED: Earlier, after winning the toss, Australia scored 399 runs losing eight wickets in 50 overs due to Glenn Maxwell’s fastest World Cup century in just 40 balls and David Warner’s record sixth World Cup century. In bowling for Australia, spinner Adam Zampa took the maximum of four wickets.

Australia’s third consecutive winThe Australian team, which lost the first two matches in the World Cup, is now riding on the chariot of victory. After losing first to South Africa and then to India, the Kangaroos registered huge wins against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. With this, the team has now reached the fourth position on the points table.
