Muslim prisoners lodged in Bhopal Central Jail will not get a chance to meet their family members openly on Eid this time. The jail management has taken a decision in this regard and has pasted notices in the jail premises. The management has cited the ongoing construction work inside the jail as the reason for this.

In Bhopal central jail, more than 3500 prisoners are imprisoned. Jailer Rakesh said that some work is going on in the jail due to which there will be no open meetings on Eid this time, although efforts will be made for problem meetings.
This message is also going viral on social media, in which it is written that due to notices, open meetings to be held on Eid will be closed, but problem meetings will also be held as per the jail order.
MLA Arif Masood has written a letter to the Director General of Police and objected to the decision of the jail administration due to the displeasure of the relatives of the prisoners. He has demanded that the prisoners should be allowed to have an open meeting with their relatives on the festival of Eid.
The MLA wrote that there has been a tradition of open meetings on festivals in the jail for years, and no untoward incident has happened during this time. There is anger among the prisoners and their families due to the decision of the jail administration. He requested the DG to consider the matter sympathetically and allow open meeting on the festival of Eid.
