Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Closure report will be heard in special court, court’s order on CBI’s demand

Mumbai, April 08: A Mumbai court has allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to transfer the hearing of its closure report in the actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case to a designated court. The CBI filed its closure report in the Sushant Singh death case before the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court last month. The CBI’s closure report has exonerated all those named in both the FIRs.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai on June 14, 2020. The CBI in its report, had said that forensic experts from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in a conclusive medico-legal opinion given to the CBI have rejected the claims of poisoning and strangulation of Rajput.

In his complaint to the Bihar police, his father had alleged that Rajput’s alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members had embezzled his son’s money. The CBI had recorded the statements of Rhea Chakraborty and people close to her and collected the actor’s medical records.

Rhea Chakraborty had also filed a complaint against Rajput’s sister Priyanka and a doctor alleging that they were responsible for the actor’s death. Let us tell you that with the CBI’s closure report, Rhea, who was considered an accused in this case, got a clean chit. The actress also had to go to jail in this case.
