Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore is once again in the headlines. After almost 14 years, she has returned to Bengali cinema, and her new film, ‘Puratan,’ was released in theatres on 11 April. The film is getting a great response from the audience, and critics are also praising her performance. Meanwhile, during an interview, Sharmila Tagore spoke openly about her film as well as the career of her grandchildren, i.e., Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Seeing Saif Ali Khan’s work, fans had high expectations from Ibrahim Ali Khan. In such a situation, the actor failed to live up to the expectations of the audience. When Sharmila Tagore was asked about Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut, she expressed her opinion frankly.
Sharmila said, “Ibrahim looks very smart and has done his part well. He has worked really hard. But to be honest, the film was not that good. These things probably shouldn’t be said publicly, but I think ultimately the film should be strong.”
In an interview, Sharmila Tagore said about ‘Puratan’ that this could be her last Bengali film. She said, “I love Kolkata and Bengali cinema very much, but now I am not as fit as before. Long shooting schedules are difficult for me now. So this could be my last Bengali film.”
Naadaaniyaan was released on the OTT platform Netflix. The story of two lovers was shown in the film. The audience did not like Ibrahim and Khushi in the film. Many people even advised both of them to learn acting. Many celebs talked about the shortcomings of the film.
